Stone & Wood: A Harmonious Balance of Heritage and Modernity
Nestled in the heart of Brussels, this unique sous-plex apartment balances historical charm with contemporary sophistication. Designed for a harmonious and sustainable lifestyle, it combines classic furniture pieces with modern, eco-conscious design objects, creating a space that feels both liberating and intimate. A sense of well-being flows through the apartment, anchored by responsibly sourced wood and durable, cool grey stone accents that set an atmosphere of tranquility and elegance.
The apartment’s lighting design plays a significant role in defining this ambiance. ST01 stone lamps – Solo, Duo, and Wall Lamp models – were selected to create a striking contrast with the apartment's warm wood textures, adding subtle sophistication and a grounding effect to each space. Crafted from enduring materials, these lamps reflect a commitment to sustainability and circularity. The lighting serves as both a functional and aesthetic element, creating cozy corners and inviting spaces for relaxation and solitude while embodying a timeless, sustainable beauty.
The owner’s choice of décor reflects their appreciation for craftsmanship, sustainability, and timeless design, blending old and new with purpose and precision. Each object has been thoughtfully curated, chosen not only for its aesthetic appeal but also for its enduring quality and sustainable origins. Reflecting personal stories and evolving with the family’s life, each piece contributes to a space that honors circularity and mindful living.
For this project, we incorporated a variety of lighting solutions, including wall lamps, table lamps, duo lamps, and solo lamps.
